In this activity, we will draw a mandala while we meditate. The mandala can be drawn countless ways, but it always begins in the center and continues out in a circular pattern. You do not need to make a perfect circle. Throughout the drawing, we will try to focus our minds on what matters most in our center.
We have recommendations for you for art supplies, but this activity can be done on whatever you have available to you. We will show you a stone version, in the hopes that you will start noticing stones on your future river walks, as this activity becomes a continuing practice. And whatever you have chosen to draw your mandala onto, can not only be found in the world, but can also be released back out into the world, along with the thoughts of your meditation.
If you do not have a stone, a suitable object, a magazine page that can be drawn on, here are some images that you can download and print to use: this page or this page.
If you want to share an image of your “Mandalas” art, please submit a photo here by clicking on participate. Or move on to the wrap up video and concluding breathing exercise of the session by clicking on continue.
